- Share sensitive personal info. We’ll never ask for your PIN, username, password, account number or Social Security number via email, text, or phone. Ever.
- Respond to fear-based language. Scammers love urgency: “Your account will be locked!” “You’ll lose access!” We don’t. If something’s wrong, we’ll explain it calmly and clearly.
- Open a link you weren’t expecting. If you get a message with a link that seems random, out of context, or oddly urgent, don’t click it. We’ll never send you a surprise link without explanation.
- Download an attachment. We won’t send you attachments out of the blue. If you receive one claiming to be from us, treat it with caution and verify before opening.
- Use payment apps to send money. We won’t pressure you to log into Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or any other payment platform. If someone claiming to be from the bank does, stop and call us directly at 888-324-3191.
