As Your Personal Representative, we will:
  • Enter the will into probate, and handle other legal requirements.
  • Gather all of the personal property and arrange for support of the family.
  • Obtain appraisals of required property for tax purposes.
  • Review real estate records to assure timely payment of taxes and collection of rents.
  • Evaluate contracts and leases, give necessary notices and comply with all requirements.
  • Investigate all claims against the estate, and handle them accordingly.
  • Collect all life insurance, rents, and other amounts.
  • Prepare and file estate and inheritance tax returns, both federal and state.
  • Pay related estate and inheritance taxes.
  • Prepare a final accounting of the estate.
  • Distribute the estate as directed by the will.
  • Handle any additional estate settlement tasks that arise.

Stephen B. Hamlin, CTFA

Senior Vice President & Senior Trust Officer. Steve has over thirty years experience in trust banking and investment management. Prior to joining Greenfield Savings Bank, Steve served as Senior Portfolio Manager for several large New England regional banking and investment management companies. Steve is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School. Steve is a client service officer and oversees all of the investments in our customer’s portfolios.

Linda M. Dagilus

Vice President & Trust Officer. Linda has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Greenfield Savings Bank, Linda served as Vice President for Fidelity Investments and Prudential Financial. Linda is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton. Linda is a client service officer and oversees investments in client portfolios.

Carmen Bassett

Vice President & Infinex and Trust Liaison Officer. Carmen has more than twenty five years of financial services experience at Greenfield Savings Bank. With a wealth of knowledge about the Bank’s Retail Management and Operations, Carmen facilitates communication and operations between the bank’s GSB Investments & Insurance and GSB Wealth Management & Trust Services divisions and all other areas of the Bank.

Jean M. Dobias

Assistant Vice President & Trust Officer. Jean has over forty years of experience in the trust banking business in Franklin County, joining Greenfield Savings Bank in 1994. Jean is our Trust Operations Officer, overseeing all aspects of operations and provides support to the administration and investment departments.

Prudence D. Blond, CTFA

Assistant Vice President & Trust Officer. Prudence is a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor with over twenty years of experience at Greenfield Savings Bank. Prudence is a graduate of Greenfield Community College, earned her General Financial Services diploma through the Center for Financial Training and her Personal Trust diploma through the American Bankers Association. Prudence is a client service officer and oversees the administration and tax departments.

Ashley M. Gilbert

Trust Operations Associate. Ashley joined the Bank in 2012 as a Teller and was quickly promoted to Customer Service Representative and Head Teller before joining the Trust Operations team in April 2015. Since that time, Ashley has grown her knowledge through several banking and investment courses through the Center for Financial Training. Ashley's responsibilities include transaction and data verification and processing for Trust customers' accounts.
