Saturday, September 12th from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, our Shred Fest returns!
We're setting up the big shredding truck at our new branch in Easthampton located at 1 Sierra Vista Blvd (next to Starbucks).
Bring your unwanted personal documents, and we will securely destroy and recycle them for free!
Up to THREE shopping bags per car and no GSB account is necessary.
REMINDER: This is a drive-thru event, so we ask participants to remain in their vehicles throughout their visit. GSB Team members will assist in removing bags from vehicles for your safety and to keep the line moving.

Do I need to be a Greenfield Savings Bank customer?
No. ShredFest is open to all community members.
Is there a cost?
No. ShredFest is free to attend.
What documents should I bring?
Bring personal documents that contain sensitive information, such as:
- Bank statements
- Credit card statements
- Tax documents
- Pay stubs
- Medical records
- Old bills and receipts
- Documents containing Social Security numbers or account numbers
What should I NOT bring?
Please do not bring:
- Electronics
- Batteries
- Plastic items
- Binders, binder clips, or large metal objects
- Household trash

How should I package my documents?
Paper grocery bags, small cardboard boxes, and reusable totes work best. Please avoid oversized containers that may be difficult to unload.
Do I need to remove staples, paper clips, or rubber bands?
In most cases, staples and paper clips are fine, but larger binder clips and binders should be removed. Check with event staff if you're unsure.
Is there a limit to how much I can bring?
To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, we are limiting it to 3 bags per vehicle.
Will I be able to watch my documents being shredded?
Documents are securely shredded on-site. We put the documents into a plastic bin, and then the bins are emptied into the shredder. To keep traffic flowing, you may not be able to watch your bin be emptied.
What happens to the shredded paper?
Shredded materials are recycled whenever possible.
Do I need to get out of my car?
No. Please stay in your car. Simply pull up to the shredding area and event staff will assist you.
What if it rains?
ShredFest will be held rain or shine unless severe weather creates unsafe conditions.
Why should I shred documents?
Shredding sensitive documents helps protect against identity theft and fraud by ensuring personal information does not fall into the wrong hands.
What time should I arrive?
Please do not arrive prior to the event start time.
