What are Buzz Points?

All GSB Debit Cards can be linked to the FREE BUZZ Points Rewards program that lets you earn BUZZ Points every time use your debit card. 

Plus, you earn 2x Buzz Points Rewards when you shop at local businesses.

BUZZ Points are good for products and services locally and nationally.

 

Earn Rewards with No Monthly Limits!

Earn BUZZ Points Rewards every time you use your GSB Debit Card! Plus, when you shop locally*, you earn double (2X) the points.**

You can redeem your earnings locally at any BUZZ Points Preferred Local Business or online for e-gift cards good at major retailers, restaurants and for travel and more. You can even donate your points to a local charity!

There are no monthly limits on earnings or minimum number of monthly debit transactions requirements to earn points—you earn points every time you use your debit card!


Types of Rewards and the Points Required for Redemptions  

You can redeem your Buzz Pints for three types of Rewards: Local Rewards, Local Charity Donation and National eGift Cards once you have the required Buzz Points balance:  

1000 Points = $10 Local Reward

900 Points = $10 Local Charity Donation

1500 Points = $10 National eGift Card

Certain rewards are also available in larger denominations.

*A "local business" will be defined as any business which is included in the GSB Local Business Database on the date that the debit card transaction is made. Local businesses do not include local outlets of national or regional chain stores or businesses, or gas station pumps.

How do I redeem my points for a LOCAL REAL-TIME REWARD?

How to Choose your Local  Reward:

Once you have earned enough points to redeem a reward (1000 points = $10 Local Reward):

  1. Log in to your Buzz Points profile on your computer or with the Buzz Points App on your mobile device.
  2. Click “Rewards” and select the reward you would like to receive by clicking the icon.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions and agree to the terms and conditions listed. You will receive an email acknowledgement that you have redeemed a reward.

How to Redeem your Reward at the Local Buzz Points Redemption Business.

  1. Go to the Local Buzz Points Reward Business which you selected to redeem your reward at:
  2. Make the purchase equal to or more than your reward. I.e., if you are redeeming a $10 Local Reward, you need to make a purchase of $10 or more (not including any sales tax).
    Note: you can only redeem one reward per purchase (register transaction). If you intend to redeem multiple rewards in a single visit, you'll need to complete separate qualifying transactions for each reward.
  3. Complete the purchase with your GSB Debit Card as a “Credit / signature” transactionnot as a “Debit” transaction.  When you swipe your card or use a chip reader during checkout, select the "Credit" option. If that is not an option, when prompted to enter your PIN, click "Enter/Go/Green Button." If you are unsure, ask the clerk for assistance in making a credit transaction. 
  4. You will receive an email that tells you that “Your reward is on the way.”
  5. In 7 – 10 days or less, the reward amount will be credited to your account. You will receive an email alerting you to the Reward deposit to your account.


I’m trying to redeem my points but it keeps saying "Verify Email Address."

You will need to click the “Verify Email Address” icon. An email will be sent to your email address. Open it and click on the link contained within it. This will verify your email address and you will be able to redeem a reward.


Redeeming National Rewards

Do you still offer physical gift cards?

All of our national retailer gift cards are delivered electronically as e-gift cards.

How do I redeem a national retailer e-Gift Card?

Once you have earned enough points to redeem a reward (1500 points = $10 Gift Card reward):

  1. Log in to your Buzz Points profile on your computer or the Buzz Points App on your mobile device.
  2. Click the “Rewards” and then select “Gift Cards” tab or button. Then and click the reward you would like to receive by clicking the icon.

To redeem a National eGift Card, you'll need to log into your Buzz Points profile. Then, click "Rewards" on the top right side of your screen. Next, click the "National" tab. Choose the reward you would like to claim, click the icon and follow the onscreen instructions. Be sure to agree to the terms and conditions listed by clicking both check boxes next to the red text on the final checkout page. 

How long does it take to get an e-Gift Card delivered?

E-gift cards will be emailed to you from delivery@e-giftcarddelivery.com within 3-7 business days. 

I didn’t receive my national e-Gift Card.

Check your spam folder. It may have been sent there. If you cannot locate it there, please contact support at support@buzzpoints.com. We'll have another copy submitted to you that you should receive within 24 hours.

I can't open my e-Gift Card.

If you cannot open your e-Gift Card, forward it to support@buzzpoints.com. We'll gladly open it for you, take a screenshot and respond to your email with your e-gift card as an attachment that you may download and print.

How to Link Your Debit Card
(Required for redeeming Local Real-Time Rewards)

Note: You must link your card and claim a reward before making the qualifying purchase to receive your Real-Time Reward.

If you choose not to link your card, you may still redeem your points for e-gift cards located in the "National" tab, but you will not be able to redeem your points for a local reward at a Preferred Business.

How do I link my card?

From a computer:

  1. Log into your Buzz Points Account
  2. Click on your name in the upper right corner and select “My Profile”
  3. On the left side of the screen click on “Linked Cards” and then follow the onscreen instructions. (Be sure to use a card connected to the account you use to earn Buzz Points.)

From a smart phone:

  1. Log into your Buzz Points Account
  2. Click on “My Redemptions” in the lower right corner.
  3. Click in the “Gear” icon in the top right corner.
  4. Click on “Linked Cards”.
  5. Click on “+ Add New Card” and then follow the prompts.

How many cards can I link?

Only one card can be linked for redeeming rewards, so choose the card you use most often. You can link multiple cards for pooling points earned.

Is Buzz Points available with GSB Business Debit Cards?
Yes. Businesses can sign up for Buzz Points and link their card(s) to earn points.

I can't link my card. 

If you can't link your card, first, double check to ensure all the information matches what's printed on your card. If you are still unable to link your card, contact support at support@buzzpoints.com.

Statement Credits for Real-Time Rewards

When should I expect to see my statement credit?

Your statement credit will be applied in 7-10 business days from your qualifying transaction.  

How long does it take to process a statement credit?

Once we submit the statement credit to your institution, it can take 1-2 business days for it to be deposited into your account.  

I didn't receive my statement credit. What do I do now?

If you didn't receive your statement credit, please verify the following:

  • Did you use the card linked to your Real-Time Rewards program for the purchase?
  • Did you spend at least the amount of the reward and select "Credit" “Credit / signature” transaction upon checkout?
  • Did you go to the right location? Many businesses will have multiple locations offered. A good rule when claiming a reward is to look at the location on the first checkout page before redeeming your points.
